Hold a key, talk,
your words appear.

Fol is dictation for the Mac. Press and hold, say it, let go — the text lands in whatever app you are already in. Email, Slack, an editor, a terminal.

Download for macOS What’s changed

Free to start. macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. The app updates itself.

About a second and a half

Median 1.2–1.7 s from letting go to text on screen, measured, not hoped. It should feel like an extension of typing.

It sounds like you

Fillers and false starts go; your voice stays. Fol never invents a word — anything nobody said is put back as it was said.

Nothing is stored

Your transcripts stay on your Mac. The server counts words, not what you said. Everything beyond that is off until you turn it on.
