Delete your account
How to remove your Fol account and everything attached to it.
You can delete your Fol account at any time. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need a
reason.
From the app
On Android, open Fol, go to Account, and choose Delete account
at the bottom. You will be asked to confirm, because it cannot be undone. It takes effect straight
away, on every device.
The Mac app does not have this button yet. On a Mac, write to us as described below.
By email
If you cannot get into the app — you have lost access to your email, or the app will not open —
write to ad@coach-bot.de from the address you signed up with
and ask us to delete your account. We will do it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your account and email address.
- Your sign-in tokens, on every device.
- Your word counts and usage records.
- Any dictation history you chose to sync to your account.
- The words in your dictionary.
- Your writing-style description, if you created one.
- Your subscription record, if you had one.
Your audio was never stored, so there is nothing to delete. Recordings exist only
for the seconds it takes to transcribe them. See
Privacy.
What stays on your own device
Dictation history kept on your device is yours and is not sent to us, so deleting your account
does not remove it. Uninstalling the app removes it, or you can delete individual lines from
History first.
What we keep, and for how long
We keep records we are legally required to keep — payment and invoice records, for tax purposes —
for as long as the law requires. These contain the transaction, not what you dictated.
Anonymous statistics that were never attached to your account are not deleted, because there is
nothing in them that identifies you and no way to find yours among them.
Cancelling a subscription
A Pro subscription bought on our website is cancelled when you delete your account in the app. If
it cannot be cancelled at that moment, nothing is deleted and the app tells you, so you are never
left paying for an account that no longer exists.
